Please find attached below my match report and the VEO from Sunday’s game.
Chaps another tough game to try and digest if I’m honest as I felt we played very well again in parts but have come on the end of another defeat.
I thought we started the game very well & I was particularly impressed with our pressing high up the pitch, we nicked the ball numerous times in the final third and with a little bit more quality we could have taken the lead.
After Dulwich scored I felt it knocked the stuffing out of us a little bit, but I felt we did continue to probe, we worked on Friday about our wingers staying high and wide, I really want us to focus on the message in the coming weeks boys as I felt we were to narrow to early, it’s a lot harder to get wide then it is to come inside so wingers let’s keep our width in possession so we can feed you and allow you to go at the full back 1 v 1.
We got back into the game to make it 2-1 with a wonderful corner from Bailey & a wonderful header from you Theo, I thought you was tremendous by the way, your fast becoming a leader within the group, well done.
After this though boys we can’t sustain pressure, we conceded another sloppy goal & we are forever chasing games, it’s very hard to do this, we need to get back in games and then go again, otherwise momentum will never be in our favour.
The second half was much of the same, Dulwich were disorganised but had real quality in the final third and this is what we were undone by as the game opened up, despite this we still created a lot of chances and had a lot of final third entries.
Great goal from you Lemar, you really need to build on this & use the goal as confidence to relax in front of goal when the opportunity’s come, your pace will allow you to make chances for yourself but it’s up to you to then relax in front of goal and be clinical, this will come the more you settle in with us.
We have a very big game on Sunday boys, we can’t have strong parts of games and still get beat so need to stop conceding as we are, we will work on this over the coming weeks.
