Evening chaps,

Please find attached my report from Sunday’s game.

What a tremendous away win that was boys, again I don’t want to repeat myself, but nothing im surprised with given the week we had at training the squad we had available, we BATTERED Cray Valley physically from start to finish, they couldn’t deal with our threat from set pieces, our aggression all over the pitch & our intensity from min 1-70.

We started the game well and camped them in for long periods of the half, we make no apologies for asking questions of the opposition with deep free kicks, corners & long throws, they simply couldn’t deal with it.

We took the lead through a neat finish from Lemar & again carbon copy with Max 15 mins later, wonderful delivery from Bailey, Leon & deeper areas with Theo, we look like a threat from every dead ball, let me tell you at times it may not look the greatest on the eye, but the Fulltime score line certainly does, we have found a formulae/identity in the last 6 weeks that I’m extremely proud of & this must continue.

Cray set up with a box & had a + 1 in midfield, I was delighted with how quickly we dealt with this with either Kai or Bailey sliding in to ensure we weren’t overloaded & you worked tremendously hard to offer a outlet in possession, we switched it quickly and you were isolated 1 v 1 so much we picked up so much joy in these areas, very pleasing with what we worked on midweek.

In the second half Cray tried to match us up 4-3-3 & again we handled it very well, we threw bodies in front of the ball and killed there spirit in the second half, the work rate from all of you was tremendous, but as I said after the game I’m not going to give you a pat on the back for working hard, that’s the culture in the group and what’s expected of you ALL!

In the last 15 mins we could have scored 5/6 & eventually killed the game with a great pen from Bailey & again Max arriving in the box to meet another pinpoint delivery, so so pleasing from a coaching view point to see this work in game!

For me the most pleasing moment came in the last 2 mins of the game, a save from Oscar, a block on the line from Billy & a clearing from Theo/Samuel, celebrated like a goal before Sera ran 40 yards to smash someone down in the corner!

I can coach and offer advice on games, but stuff like that comes from within & if we want to continue to grow, that’s what’s required.

Great performance boys but I’m going to ask you again can we back it up this Sunday with the same intensity, we couldn’t last time so I expect it this weekend.

We know the TARGET, unbeaten until the Xmas break & then let’s see what we can really do in the New Year.

Can’t wait for this weekend to continue this momentum.

See you ALL tomorrow!

H/Becks
