<p>The 'Dubs' welcomed back Mike Harrington & Kallum Hannnah from injury but were without Craig Norman and Dave Burton due to work commitments for this local derby.

<p>The 'Dubs' started the&nbsp;quicker playing some good attacking football putting the town under pressure. Kallum Hannah opened the scoring in the 2nd minute finishing of a well-worked team move.

<p>Injuries to Kallum Hannah (Goswami) and Mike Harrington (Dave Butterworth) forced the 'Dubs' into 2 early substitutions.

<p>Karl Boult added the 2nd in the 30th minute finishing from close range after some good work from Chris Burton.

<p>The 'Dubs' went 3-0 in the 35th minute with Russell Spence breaking from the midfield and getting on the end of a&nbsp;through ball from Glen Butterworth and rounding the keeper to&nbsp;finish of&nbsp;with style.

<p>The 2nd half started as it finished with the 'Dubs' playing some good attacking football.&nbsp;However, it was Thornaby Town who got the first goal of the half after some poor defending. Glenn Butterworth scored his first of the match in the 65th minute heading in bravely.

<p>Chris Burton added the 5th in the 68th minute with a looping header back across the goal over the keeper following a cross from Glen Butterworth.

<p>The town then added 2 more goals from a penalty&nbsp;conceded by Karl Boult and an own goal by Adam Iverson which slipped through keeper Dan Dixons hands making the score 5-3.

<p>The 'Dubs' continued playing 'expansive' football through the remainder of the game&nbsp;that paid dividends in the 70th minute when Chris Goswami charged down a kick from the keeper and&nbsp;blasted&nbsp;the ball home from inches.

<p>Town replied yet again with a breakaway from midfield to make it 6-4.

<p>Glen Butterworth then capped his man of the match performance with his 2nd goal of the game&nbsp;with a fine volley form the edge of the box in the 80th minute. Peter Dicarlo on for Danny Flynn went close late on when he headed the ball against&nbsp;the bar.
