The Worcester District Football League was founded in 1921 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The first season of the league consisted of just six teams, but it has since grown to become one of the largest amateur football leagues in Worcestershire.

The league has been home to some famous players over the years, including former England internationals John Salako and Trevor Francis. In recent years, the league has also been used as a stepping stone for young players who are hoping to progress to professional football.
