Hornets FC

The Hornets formed back in 1999 in the city of Worcester, England and have featured very heavily in the five a side arena. The club were made up of 4 players that left a previous 5′s team called “The Wild Hotshots”. After forming the Hornets, the team settled well and became a strong team in the Perdiswell 5 a side league in Worcester. The Hornets have featured in the national tournment 3 times. Once at High Wycombe and Twice in Birmngham. There best finish was reaching the semi finals in High Wycombe. In Birmingham, they were unlucky to not go through as the highst place runner up at there last entry back in 2001. The Hornets have seen no fewer than 23 players feature for the 5′s league. Some Hornets Hall Of Famers are as follows: Mickey Burke 2000 – 2001, Ian Jones 1999 – 2002, Ash 2004-2005, Russ 2004-2005,Roger 1999-2001 The Hornets nearly formed as a eleven a side back in 2003, but plans came unstuck at the last moment, but always was a ambition of the club to progress into this arena. The Hornets have had 8 sponsors over the course of 12 years. Dolphin Bathrooms 1999-2003, Mojo’s Bar 2003-2006, Phonemart 2006-2007, Squarefrog Designs (fives) 2007 – , Bizz Energy (elevens) 2007 – 2009, Noah’s Ark Trust 2009 – Present, Tec 2010 – Present, Rileys 2011 – Present
