In a commanding display at the ARMCO ARENA, Solihull Moors U10LS triumphed over Strikes Soccer Academy U10 with a resounding 6-1 victory in their league home match on 9 February 2025. The match kicked off at 9:30 AM, showcasing the young talents of both teams on the 3G Pitch 1D.

Solihull Moors adopted a 2-3-1 formation, with Arun Singh Binning in goal, flanked by central defenders Connor Slayford and Ibrahim Miah. The midfield trio consisted of Nikhil Jogia on the right, Luca Wadlow centrally, and Alfie Howard on the left, while Adam Mayet led the attack as the striker. This setup allowed for fluid transitions between defence and attack, with the midfielders expected to support both the backline and the forward line effectively.

The substitutes for Solihull Moors included Jimmy Walters and Ruari Buckley, who would later play pivotal roles in the match as the game unfolded.

The scoring opened early in the second minute when Nikhil Jogia found the back of the net, converting a close-range effort following a short pass from Adam Mayet. This early goal set the tone for a dominant performance from the home side.

Just two minutes later, Adam Mayet had another opportunity to extend the lead, but his shot was saved by the Strikes goalkeeper, showcasing the Moors' attacking intent. The relentless pressure continued, leading to a substitution in the 12th minute as Jimmy Walters replaced Jogia, followed by Ruari Buckley coming on for Alfie Howard in the 17th minute.

Buckley quickly made his presence felt, attempting a shot in the 19th minute, but it was saved once again. However, the breakthrough came in the 21st minute when Adam Mayet scored, assisted by Walters, who provided a short pass that allowed Mayet to slot the ball home from inside the box.

As the first half progressed, Jimmy Walters had another chance in the 23rd minute, but his effort went wide. The half concluded with Solihull Moors leading 2-0 at the break.

The second half saw immediate changes, with Alfie Howard returning to the pitch alongside Nikhil Jogia, who replaced Ibrahim Miah. Just two minutes into the half, Strikes Soccer Academy pulled one back with a stunning long-range direct free-kick, bringing the score to 2-1.

Despite this setback, Solihull Moors continued to press forward. Walters had another attempt saved in the 28th minute, while Mayet's shot was also denied in the 31st minute. The relentless pressure paid off in the 32nd minute when Jimmy Walters scored a volley from close range, assisted by a corner taken by Alfie Howard.

The Moors were not done yet. In the 37th minute, Adam Mayet scored his second of the match, converting a close-range effort after receiving a long pass from Connor Slayford, extending the lead to 4-1.

As the match wore on, further substitutions were made, with Nikhil Jogia coming back on for Ruari Buckley in the 40th minute, followed by Luca Wadlow replacing Mayet in the 41st minute. The fresh legs continued to make an impact, with Wadlow scoring a spectacular goal in the 46th minute, assisted by Walters, marking it as a true 'screamer'.

The final act of the match came in the 49th minute when Alfie Howard converted a penalty, sealing the victory at 6-1.
