Away league match

RIT Dubai travelled to the Amity University Campus on 21 October 2025 for a 9:30pm kick-off in a league away fixture against Heriot-Watt University. The match lasted 70 minutes plus injury time, concluding with a commanding 4-0 victory for RIT Dubai in front of 50 spectators.

Deploying a 3-1-4-2 formation, RIT Dubai set up with a back three of Mohsin Ayaz on the right, Mohamed Chahine centrally, and Aws Dashash on the left. Mohamed Hazza operated as the lone central midfielder just ahead of the defence, tasked with linking play and breaking up opposition attacks. Ahead of him, the midfield quartet featured Artur Farhutdinov on the right flank, Nariman Samani and Mohamed Haitam Yousfi occupying central attacking midfield roles, and Mohammad AlSayyed on the left. The forward line consisted of Masoud Barahoey on the right and Hazza Yateem on the left, expected to spearhead the attack and convert chances. Yesa Aamir guarded the goal. The substitutes named were Saeed Alhashemi, Mohamed Saif, and Khalifa Albedwawi.

From the outset, RIT Dubai pressed aggressively. Mohamed Haitam Yousfi wasted no time testing the opposition keeper with three early attempts in the first three minutes, two of which went wide and one was comfortably saved. Hazza Yateem also had an early shot wide in the fourth minute. However, an offside call against left defender Aws Dashash in the fifth minute interrupted the flow.

Goalkeeper Yesa Aamir was alert early on, producing a full stretch save in the seventh minute to deny Heriot-Watt a chance. Defensive discipline was tested as Mohamed Chahine committed two fouls within a couple of minutes around the tenth and twelfth minutes, which earned him a yellow card for dissent shortly after RIT Dubai took the lead.

The breakthrough came in the 14th minute when Mohamed Hazza unleashed a spectacular long-range screamer with his right foot, leaving the Heriot-Watt goalkeeper with no chance. The goal sparked a flurry of activity; a yellow card was also shown to a Heriot-Watt player for dissent at the same time.

Just a minute later, Hazza Yateem doubled the advantage with a well-worked team goal. Masoud Barahoey’s precise cross found Yateem, who finished confidently with his right foot. RIT Dubai’s attacking intent was clear as they continued to dominate possession and create chances.

Mohsin Ayaz was booked for a foul in the 18th minute, but Yesa Aamir remained composed, catching a cross soon after. Hazza Yateem’s effort in the 19th minute was saved, and the visitors saw another yellow card brandished against their opponents for a bad tackle in the 20th minute.

Mohammad AlSayyed committed a foul in the 22nd minute as RIT Dubai maintained pressure. Offside calls disrupted the rhythm between the 25th and 27th minutes, with Masoud Barahoey and Hazza Yateem caught offside multiple times, as well as substitute Saeed Alhashemi.

In the 29th minute, Hazza Yateem received a yellow card for dissent, while another Heriot-Watt player was booked for a bad tackle. Masoud Barahoey’s shot went wide at the same time. Nariman Samani was also penalised for a foul in the 30th minute.

Artur Farhutdinov tested the keeper with a shot saved in the 33rd minute, followed by a high attempt from Mohamed Haitam Yousfi a minute later. The half concluded at 35 minutes with RIT Dubai firmly in control.

The second half resumed with Farhutdinov again forcing a save in the 37th minute, and Barahoey firing high in the 39th. Mohamed Hazza committed a foul and was cautioned for a bad tackle shortly after.

RIT Dubai extended their lead in the 48th minute when Hazza Yateem scored a stunning solo goal, expertly finishing after a long pass from Mohammad AlSayyed. However, the joy was short-lived as Yateem was shown a second yellow card for dissent and sent off immediately.

The same minute saw the first substitution with Saeed Alhashemi replacing Masoud Barahoey. Mohamed Saif came on for Nariman Samani in the 52nd minute. Shortly after, Aws Dashash was booked for a bad tackle following a foul.

Yesa Aamir remained a key figure, catching a cross in the 55th minute and producing another full stretch save in the 56th to deny Farhutdinov. An offside flag halted another attacking move by Farhutdinov in the 57th minute.

Khalifa Albedwawi replaced Mohammad AlSayyed in the 60th minute. Mohamed Saif committed two fouls in quick succession at 61 and 65 minutes, while attempts from Haitam Yousfi and Farhutdinov were either high or wide as the game neared its conclusion.

Aws Dashash was again penalised for a foul in the 67th minute. Saeed Alhashemi was caught offside in the 69th minute but made amends immediately after.

In the 70th minute, Saeed Alhashemi sealed the emphatic victory with a well-worked team goal, finishing neatly with his right foot after a short pass from Artur Farhutdinov.

Mohamed Haitam Yousfi was deservedly named player of the match for his tireless attacking efforts and early attempts that set the tone for RIT Dubai’s dominance. The team’s tactical discipline and clinical finishing ensured a comprehensive 4-0 triumph over Heriot-Watt University on their own turf.
