The encounter lasted 70 minutes plus added time and ended in a resounding 8-1 victory for the home side, RIT Dubai. From the outset, RIT Dubai dominated proceedings, showcasing their attacking prowess and tactical flexibility.
RIT Dubai lined up in a 3-1-4-2 formation, deploying three defenders at the back: Saif Abu Sneineh on the right, Mohamed Albawab centrally, and Abdellah Jemal on the left. Ahmed Qadourah operated as the lone central midfielder, tasked with linking defence and attack. Ahead of him, four attacking midfielders were positioned: Khalifa Albedwawi on the right flank, Mohamed Saif and Omar Ali centrally, and Armaan Shafique on the left. Leading the line were two forwards, Masoud Barahoey on the right and Abdelhamid Darweesh on the left. This setup was designed to provide width and creativity in midfield while maintaining defensive solidity with three at the back. The substitutes available were Aws Dashash, Saeed Alhashemi, Karam Alsayed, Hazza Yateem, Mohammad AlSayyed, Ahmed Omar, Faisal Al Ahmad, and Yesa Aamir.
The match saw an early flurry of substitutions at the 27th minute, with Aws Dashash replacing Armaan Shafique, Saeed Alhashemi coming on for Masoud Barahoey, and Karam Alsayed taking over from Khalifa Albedwawi. This trio of changes appeared to inject fresh energy into the side. However, just a minute later, HCT Dubai struck first with a goal inside the box, finished with their right foot, giving them a brief lead.
RIT Dubai responded immediately and emphatically. At the 30th minute, Abdelhamid Darweesh unleashed a spectacular screamer with his left foot from a corner delivered by Saif Abu Sneineh, restoring parity and igniting the home crowd. These changes reshaped the team’s dynamics going into the latter stages of the first half.
The half concluded at the 35th minute mark with the score level at 1-1. However, the second half saw RIT Dubai take complete control. Hazza Yateem opened the scoring for RIT immediately after the restart in the 46th minute, capitalising on a defensive mistake by HCT Dubai and slotting home with his right foot. At the same time, Saif Abu Sneineh returned to the pitch, replacing Hazza Yateem’s earlier substitute position on the right defence.
Just three minutes later, Mohammad AlSayyed doubled the lead with a close-range finish inside the box, assisted by Hazza Yateem’s short pass. The visitors were now chasing shadows as RIT Dubai’s fluid attacking play overwhelmed them.
Further tactical tweaks came at the 53rd minute with Armaan Shafique reintroduced for Mohamed Saif and Omar Ali returning for Ahmed Qadourah, signalling a shift to refresh the midfield creativity. Four minutes later, Yesa Aamir replaced Ahmed Omar in goal, ensuring fresh legs between the sticks.
RIT Dubai’s dominance was reflected in the goals that followed.
