Away league match

On 16 November 2025, Oracle F.C. travelled to Dominase Astro Turf to face Tumantu DFC. in a league away fixture that kicked off at 1:00pm. The match ended in a disappointing 5-1 defeat for Oracle F.C., with Tumantu DFC dominating proceedings and capitalising on defensive errors throughout the 90 minutes. The attendance for the game was 100+ spectators, and the referee’s performance was rated as average.

Oracle F.C. lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, aiming to balance defensive solidity with attacking creativity. Amos Asaase took his place between the sticks as goalkeeper. The back four consisted of Oscar Acquah at right back, Owusu Ansah and Buckman Obeng as central defenders, and Michael Boateng on the left. In midfield, Elvis Nyarko and Seth Adu Boateng operated as the two central midfielders tasked with both breaking up play and initiating attacks. Ahead of them, Philiemon Agyarkoh occupied the right attacking midfield role, Jonas Koudadje played centrally as the attacking midfielder, and Obeng Prince took up the left attacking midfield position. Leading the line was Atakora Samuel as the lone striker. On the bench were Bentsil Larbi(GK), Ebenezer Quaye (GK), Promise Amegayibor, Michael Anderson, Michael Agbi, Lawrence Laba, and Samuel Abusah.

The match began with Tumantu FC asserting early pressure through the flanks, and their efforts were rewarded in the 18th minute when they were awarded a penalty. Goalkeeper Amos Asaase was beaten from the spot, giving Tumantu FC the lead. The team struggled to regain composure and eight minutes later, in the 26th minute, a defensive mistake by GK Amos Asaase allowed Tumantu FC to double their advantage. The home side’s confidence grew as they exploited gaps in our defence.

Oracle’s woes continued when Buckman Obeng was forced off injured in the 35th minute, replaced by Promise Amegayibor. Despite the substitution, Tumantu FC capitalised once more before half time, scoring their third goal in the 39th minute following another defensive error by RB Oscar Aquah. We went into the break trailing 3-0, facing a mountain to climb.

The second half saw tactical changes from the technical team as Michael Anderson and Michael Agbi were introduced simultaneously in the 52nd minute, replacing Obeng Prince and Atakora Samuel respectively. These changes aimed to inject fresh energy and creativity into the side. However, Tumantu FC extended their lead in the 63rd minute with a fourth goal, again stemming from a defensive lapse.

Oracle F.C. managed to pull a goal back in the 73rd minute through Jonas Koudadje, who struck a superb direct free-kick from outside the box with his right foot, providing a moment of quality and hope for the us. Unfortunately, this was not enough to shift the momentum. Tumantu FC sealed the emphatic victory with a fifth goal in the 80th minute, a simple tap-in that underscored out defensive frailties throughout the match.

Despite the spirited effort from Oracle F.C., particularly from Koudadje’s set-piece brilliance, the match was largely defined by Tumantu FC’s clinical finishing and Oracle’s costly defensive mistakes. However, we will need to regroup quickly after this heavy defeat as we look to improve our defensive organisation and consistency in upcoming fixtures.
