Home league match

On 30 November 2025, Oracle F.A. hosted Success F.C. at the Dunkwa Youth Resource Center in a keenly contested league encounter that kicked off at 3:00pm. The home side emerged victorious with a 2-1 scoreline after 90 minutes of pulsating football, much to the delight of the 100-strong crowd.

Oracle F.A. lined up in a 3-4-1-2 formation, deploying a back three of Elvis Nyarko at right defender, Owusu Ansah centrally, and Michael Boateng on the left. This defensive trio was shielded by a midfield quartet consisting of Philiemon Agyarkoh on the right, Seth Adu Boateng and Michael Agbi occupying the central midfield roles, and Michael Anderson on the left flank. Ahead of them, Jonas Koudadje operated as the attacking midfielder, tasked with linking play between midfield and attack. Up front, Lawrence Laba took up the right forward position while Obeng Prince led the line on the left. The goalkeeper duties were entrusted to Amos Asaase. On the bench, Oracle F.A. had Oscar Acquah, Buckman Obeng, and Promise Amegayibor ready to make an impact if called upon.

The match began with Success F.C. taking an early lead in the seventh minute. A close-range tap-in with the right foot caught the home defence off guard, putting Oracle F.A. behind on the scoreboard. Despite this early setback, Oracle F.A. gradually settled into their rhythm, with their midfield trio beginning to exert control over the central areas.

Oracle F.A.’s persistence paid dividends in the 27th minute when Michael Agbi struck an inside-the-box finish with his right foot to level the scores. His composed finish was a testament to his ability to find space and time in tight areas, and it lifted the spirits of the home supporters. The remainder of the first half saw both sides probing for an advantage, but the teams went into the break locked at 1-1.

Shortly after the interval, Oracle F.A. made a tactical substitution in the 51st minute, replacing right forward Lawrence Laba with Oscar Acquah. This change aimed to inject fresh energy and sharpen the attacking threat. The adjustment bore fruit in the 66th minute when Michael Agbi once again played a pivotal role. He delivered a precise short pass to Obeng Prince, who finished from close range with his right foot, completing a well-worked team move and putting Oracle F.A. ahead 2-1.

Oracle F.A.’s defensive line was tested as the match progressed, and injuries forced further changes. In the 72nd minute, Michael Boateng was replaced by Buckman Obeng due to injury, while Owusu Ansah was substituted off for Promise Amegayibor ten minutes later, also because of injury. These enforced changes required the home side to adapt quickly to maintain their slender lead.

Throughout the match, Amos Asaase in goal provided a reliable last line of defence, while the midfield, particularly Michael Agbi, orchestrated play with intelligence and composure. Agbi’s influence was undeniable, as he not only scored but also assisted the winning goal, earning him the well-deserved Player of the Match accolade.

Oracle F.A. held firm in the closing stages, managing to see out the game and secure a valuable three points. The victory at Dunkwa Youth Resource Center was a testament to their resilience and tactical flexibility, as they overcame an early deficit and injury setbacks to triumph over Success F.C.
