Oracle F.A. hosted Akwaboso YMFC at the Dunkwa Youth Resource Center on 14 December 2025, with kick-off at 3:00pm in a crucial league home match. Despite their efforts, Oracle F.A. were unable to find the net as Akwaboso YMFC secured a commanding 3-0 victory over the full 90 minutes plus injury time.
Oracle F.A. lined up in a 4-3-1-2 formation, aiming to balance defensive solidity with attacking flair. Amos Asaase took his place between the sticks as goalkeeper, with a back four consisting of Dennis Agbi at right back, Jonas Koudadje and Buckman Obeng as central defenders, and Michael Boateng on the left flank. The midfield trio featured Oscar Acquah on the right, Seth Adu Boateng centrally, and Michael Agbi on the left, tasked with both defensive duties and supporting the attack. Atakora Samuel operated just ahead of them as the attacking midfielder, linking midfield and attack. Up front, Lawrence Laba and Michael Anderson were deployed as the right and left forwards respectively, expected to spearhead the offensive efforts. On the bench, Obeng Prince was named as the sole substitute available.
The match began with both sides probing for openings, but it was Akwaboso YMFC who struck first. In the 30th minute, the visitors capitalised on a defensive lapse to score a close-range tap-in with their right foot, breaking the deadlock and putting Oracle F.A. on the back foot. Just four minutes later, central defender Buckman Obeng received a yellow card for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity, a caution that would weigh heavily on Oracle’s defensive approach for the remainder of the first half.
Despite efforts to regain composure, Oracle F.A. could not find a way past the opposition defence before the interval, and the teams went into the break with Akwaboso YMFC leading 1-0.
At the start of the second half, Oracle F.A. made a tactical substitution with Obeng Prince replacing Lawrence Laba, signalling a shift in attacking strategy. However, the visitors continued to dominate proceedings. In the 62nd minute, Akwaboso YMFC doubled their advantage with another close-range tap-in, again struck with the right foot, extending their lead to 2-0.
Oracle F.A.’s frustrations boiled over in the 70th minute when Michael Agbi was shown a yellow card for dissent, reflecting the mounting pressure on the home side. Just three minutes later, Akwaboso YMFC sealed their victory with a third goal, completing a trio of close-range tap-ins all scored with the right foot, leaving Oracle F.A. with a mountain to climb.
Despite their best efforts, Oracle F.A. were unable to respond, and the match concluded with a 3-0 scoreline in favour of Akwaboso YMFC. The visitors’ clinical finishing and defensive resilience proved decisive, while Oracle F.A. will be left to reflect on missed opportunities and disciplinary setbacks that hindered their chances on home soil.
