In a compelling league encounter at Derby on 19 July 2025, Labyrinth Football Club Ladies faced a challenging match against JS Galaxy, ultimately succumbing to a 3-1 defeat. The game kicked off at 3:00pm, with both teams eager to secure vital points in the league standings.

Labyrinth lined up in a 4-3-3 formation, designed to offer a balanced approach between defence and attack. Thibathiba Thebe took position in goal, while the back four consisted of Motshwenyane Neo on the right, Ditau Letlhogonolo and Oretshwanetse Phiri in central defence, and Nhlayakgosi Lebogang on the left. The midfield trio featured Mosele Ashley on the right, Modise Neo in the centre, and Nontlantla Javu on the left, providing both support and width. Up front, Kekana Masego occupied the right forward position, Penyenye Keamogetswe was the central striker, and Molwela Katlego played on the left forward flank. The substitutes for the match were Mabalane Rachael, Tsagae Bonolo, and Keotshepile Bokhutleng.

The first half concluded without any goals, but the second half saw a flurry of action. Labyrinth's Penyenye Keamogetswe broke the deadlock in the 57th minute, scoring a stunning goal from outside the box, assisted by Nontlantla Javu with a precise short pass. This moment ignited hope for Labyrinth, who were looking to build on their lead.

However, JS Galaxy responded swiftly, capitalising on a defensive mistake to equalise in the 68th minute. The goal, scored with a right-footed effort, shifted the momentum back in favour of the opponents. Just five minutes later, the Galaxy took the lead with a well-executed set piece, leaving Labyrinth's defence scrambling to react.

In a further blow to Labyrinth, goalkeeper Thibathiba Thebe was forced off due to injury in the 76th minute, with Tsagae Bonolo coming on as his replacement. The situation worsened for Labyrinth when Ditau Letlhogonolo received a yellow card in the 79th minute for a bad tackle, adding to the mounting pressure on the team.

The final nail in the coffin came in the 81st minute when JS Galaxy scored their third goal, a brilliant solo effort from outside the box that left Labyrinth reeling. In a late substitution, Keotshepile Bokhutleng replaced Kekana Masego in the 82nd minute, but it was too little too late for Labyrinth as they struggled to find a way back into the match.

Despite a spirited effort, Labyrinth Football Club Ladies were unable to overcome the challenges posed by JS Galaxy, concluding the match with a disappointing 3-1 scoreline. The team will need to regroup and reassess as they look ahead to their next fixture in the league.
