Labyrinth Football Club Ladies travelled to Ikemeleng on 7 December 2025 for a league away fixture, kicking off at 3:00pm in front of 600 spectators. The match ended in a thrilling 4-2 victory for Labyrinth, who overcame Ikemeleng Ladies in a contest full of attacking intent and tactical adjustments.

Labyrinth deployed a 3-4-3 formation, setting up with three defenders at the back: Nhlayakgosi Lebogang on the right, Nontlantla Javu centrally, and Motshwenyane Neo on the left. The midfield quartet consisted of Mosele Ashley on the right wing, Letlhogonolo Ditau and Modise Neo occupying the central midfield roles, and Moabi Anna on the left flank. Up front, the attacking trio featured Resego Ntsayagae on the right, Penyenye Keatlaretswe leading as the striker, and Mabalane Rachael on the left. This formation was designed to provide width and fluidity in attack while maintaining defensive solidity through the three at the back. The substitutes named were Mpho Kheswa, Kekana Masego, and Kebitsang Vanessa.

The match burst into life early on when Labyrinth took the lead in the 10th minute. Letlhogonolo Ditau delivered a precise long pass into the box, which Penyenye Keatlaretswe met with a powerful header to open the scoring. This early goal set the tone for Labyrinth’s attacking approach, utilising Ditau’s vision and Keatlaretswe’s aerial prowess.

Ikemeleng Ladies responded with determination and found an equaliser in the 33rd minute. A well-struck effort from outside the area, taken with the right foot, beat Labyrinth’s goalkeeper Thibathiba Thebe, levelling the score and injecting fresh urgency into the home side’s play.

Just five minutes later, Labyrinth’s midfield dynamo Letlhogonolo Ditau was shown a yellow card, a caution that reflected the intensity of the contest in the middle of the park. Shortly after, tactical changes began as Moabi Anna was replaced by Mpho Kheswa in the 40th minute, signalling Labyrinth’s intent to refresh their left midfield position.

Labyrinth regained the lead before half-time through Ditau herself. In the 42nd minute, Penyenye Keatlaretswe flicked the ball cleverly inside the box, allowing Ditau to slot home a close-range finish with her right foot. This goal restored Labyrinth’s advantage going into the break.

At half-time, the score stood at 2-1 in favour of Labyrinth Football Club Ladies. The second half began with another substitution as Kekana Masego replaced Mabalane Rachael on the left forward position, aiming to inject new energy into the attacking line.

Labyrinth extended their lead in the 58th minute with a well-worked team move. Letlhogonolo Ditau once again played a pivotal role, sending a long pass to Kekana Masego, who finished confidently with her right foot. This goal underlined Ditau’s influence and the effectiveness of Labyrinth’s wide attacking play.

Ikemeleng Ladies were awarded a penalty in the 71st minute, which they converted from close range with a right-footed strike, narrowing the deficit to 3-2. The same minute saw Labyrinth’s goalkeeper Thibathiba Thebe receive a yellow card for a bad tackle, a rare moment of indiscipline from the custodian.

Labyrinth made their final tactical substitution in the 75th minute, bringing on Kebitsang Vanessa for Resego Ntsayagae on the right forward position, aiming to maintain their attacking threat and see out the game.

The visitors sealed their victory in the 83rd minute when Kebitsang Vanessa provided a short pass to Penyenye Keatlaretswe, who calmly finished with her right foot in a tap-in. This fourth goal effectively ended the contest and confirmed Labyrinth’s well-deserved win.

Letlhogonolo Ditau was named player of the match for her outstanding performance, contributing two goals, multiple assists, and controlling the midfield throughout the 90 minutes. Her vision and work rate were instrumental in Labyrinth Football Club Ladies’ triumph on the road.
