Match Report - BOLLINGTON UNITED U12 JAGUARS - 11 Oct 2025

A tough local Derby against Bollington Jaguars today. A team we have played many times over the last few seasons.

It was fairly even in the 1st half with not too many chances although the majority of play was in the opponents half. We just couldn't find the last pass or the few yards to get any meaningful shots off. Bollington took the lead after about 20 minutes, we let a through ball bounce in the box and it was out past Jack in our goal.

1 down at half time we started the 2nd half with good pressure but again a similar scenario of not many clear chances. Both Zak and Ash had half chances through on goal but both went at the keeper . There were a few niggly challenges going in, which stopped the flow of the game. A break away led to Bollington going 2 up. Our defence and midfield not engaging with strong enough tackles.

We pushed forward, had a few long range free kicks but to no avail. Archie crashed a shot off the post and a few corners came to nothing. A few minutes before the end Zak put away a chance from close range after a scramble but it wasn't enough. Not our day today I'm afraid.

We lacked a bit of bite and composure although we often brought the ball out well from the back, Austin and Archie doing well. A few times we still need to play the passes quicker but we take our 1st defeat of the season and onto the Cup next weekend.
