Away league match

Estrella U13-1 travelled to face SV Unistars at their home ground on 30 November 2025, with kick-off at 9:00am, in a keenly contested league fixture. The 11-a-side match lasted 60 minutes plus added time and ended in a narrow 3-2 victory for the visitors. Referee Jean-Marc Howell oversaw the game in front of a crowd of 30 spectators.

Estrella lined up in a classic 4-4-2 formation, aiming for balance across the pitch. Isaac Vijsma guarded the goal, supported by a defensive line of Daniel de-la-Cruz-Diaz at right back, central defenders Kock Maeyson and Thiel Maxwell, and Rodriguez Iszair on the left. The midfield four featured Peter Gaviria-Mendoza on the right flank, central midfielders Nathanaël Croes and Raizell Howell tasked with both defensive duties and creative play, and Monzon Daniel operating on the left wing. Up front, the strike partnership consisted of Aalrick Koolman on the right and Jayrold Matos on the left. Ilay Howell was named among the substitutes.

The match began with SV Unistars taking an early lead in the 11th minute, putting Estrella on the back foot. The visitors responded with increasing intensity, and it was central midfielder Nathanaël Croes who levelled the scores in the 26th minute with a close-range finish, demonstrating his knack for arriving in dangerous positions.

Shortly after, Estrella made a tactical substitution at the half-hour mark, bringing on Ilay Howell to replace right defender Daniel de-la-Cruz-Diaz. This change aimed to shore up the defence and add fresh legs for the second half.

Just seven minutes into the second half, Estrella took the lead for the first time through Raizell Howell, who was expertly set up by Croes. The assist highlighted the excellent understanding between the two central midfielders, as Croes’ precise pass allowed Howell to finish with composure.

SV Unistars were not to be outdone and found an equaliser in the 52nd minute, setting up a tense finale. An attack that started from back after an incredible save from Maxwell Thiel and Maeyson Kock preventing a goal. Maeyson kock passed the ball to Raizell Howell that masterly curved the ball infront of the goal and the substitute Ilay Howell tipped it to Jayrold Matos that score the decisive goal in the 59th minute, securing a vital away win.

Nathanaël Croes was deservedly named player of the match for his influential role in midfield, contributing both a goal and an assist, and driving Estrella’s comeback. The visitors’ 4-4-2 formation proved effective in both defence and attack, with the midfield pairing of Croes and Howell pivotal to the team’s success.
