Estrella U13-1 travelled to Deportivo Nacional on 16 November 2025 for a league away fixture against Nacional 3, kicking off promptly at 9:00am. The young Estrella side produced a commanding display to secure an emphatic 7-0 victory over their hosts in a 60-minute contest, much to the delight of the 50 spectators in attendance.

Deploying a classic 4-4-2 formation, Estrella set up with Vijsma Isaac guarding the goal. The defensive line featured Daniel de-la-Cruz-Diaz at right back, Wilson Just-Shue and Thiel Maxwell as the central defenders, and Rodriguez Iszair on the left flank. In midfield, Peter Gaviria-Mendoza operated on the right wing, with Kock Maeyson and Raizell Howell occupying the central midfield roles, while Samuel Becerra-Valor took up the left midfield position. Leading the line were forwards Aalrick Koolman on the right and Jayrold Matos on the left. The formation was designed to balance defensive solidity with attacking width and creativity, expecting the full-backs to support wide play and the midfielders to link up effectively with the forwards. On the bench, Estrella had Kock Jayden, Ilay Howell, and Julius Croes ready to make an impact if called upon.

The match burst into life early on as Raizell Howell calmly converted a penalty in the 8th minute, setting the tone for Estrella’s dominance. Just a minute later, Jayrold Matos doubled the lead with a well-taken finish, expertly set up by an incisive pass from Kock Maeyson. This quick-fire double blow left Nacional reeling and struggling to find their footing.

At the 18-minute mark, Estrella made their first tactical substitution, with Kock Jayden replacing right defender Daniel de-la-Cruz-Diaz, signalling a strategic shift to maintain control over the game. The hosts were unable to respond effectively as Estrella’s midfield and defence continued to stifle any attacking threat.

Shortly before the half-time interval, Estrella made a double substitution to freshen the flanks: Ilay Howell came on for left defender Rodriguez Iszair, while Julius Croes replaced left midfielder Samuel Becerra-Valor. These changes at the 30-minute mark aimed to inject energy and maintain the team’s relentless pressure. The half concluded with Estrella firmly in command at 2-0.

The second half resumed with Estrella continuing their attacking onslaught. Raizell Howell showcased his technical prowess by curling a direct free-kick from outside the box into the net in the 36th minute, extending the lead to three. Just a minute later, Howell turned provider, assisting substitute Ilay Howell to notch the fourth goal, demonstrating excellent interplay and fluidity in Estrella’s attacking moves.

Estrella’s dominance was further emphasised in the 45th minute when Aalrick Koolman found the net, assisted once again by Kock Maeyson, who was instrumental throughout the match in orchestrating play from midfield. The visitors were now five goals to the good, with Nacional unable to mount any meaningful resistance.

Early in the second half of the second period, Raizell Howell completed his hat-trick in the 48th minute, continuing his influential performance and cementing his status as the match’s key figure. Estrella’s relentless pressure paid off again in the 52nd minute when Kock Maeyson himself got on the scoresheet, assisted by Howell, rounding off a superb team effort.

Throughout the match, goalkeeper Vijsma Isaac was a commanding presence between the sticks, making crucial saves to ensure a clean sheet and providing a solid foundation for Estrella’s attacking players to express themselves. His assured performance earned him the player of the match accolade.

Estrella U13-1’s comprehensive 7-0 victory at Deportivo Nacional was a testament to their tactical discipline, clinical finishing, and cohesive team play. The 4-4-2 formation allowed them to control the midfield, exploit wide areas, and maintain defensive solidity, resulting in a dominant display that will surely boost their confidence as the league progresses.
