BoC F.C. 5 vs 0 BGC

Lined up with 5 ringers and lent the oppo 2. The oppo claimed that we got the best ringers, but in reality I just gave them the last 2 to turn up. Luck of the draw!

Ringers Andrea and Manuel bagged a goal each in the first half, but BGC had plenty of pressure and nearly scored with a long range shot which Tyson saved onto the post and bar and then sort of dribbled along the goal line before he gathered it.

So, close at half time, definitely they could have got back into it and claims from BGC that we should have “switched it around” look like hindsight rather than reflecting how the game actually stood at that stage.

We did actually pull away with 3 late goals in the second half, Andrea and Manuel with their second goals and Paul grabbing the other. Manuel’s was from a clearance / assist from Ollie and he had to run half the length of the pitch to score. Paul’s goal from a great through ball from Manuel.

So a good performance, very much aided by the ringers and just a shame BGC were a bit salty about it, particularly when they normally beat us and this was a rare win for us against them.
