The West of Scotland Amateurs is an amateur football league competition, primarily for amateur clubs in the west of Scotland.
It was formed in 1898 and claimed to be the oldest amateur league in world football. The association was affiliated to the Scottish Amateur Football Association.
The West of Scotland Amateurs was founded in 1898 by a group of amateur footballers in the west of Scotland. The league's first season consisted of just six teams, but it quickly grew in popularity and by the early 1900s, it was one of the most competitive amateur leagues in the world.
