The Wbw Solicitors South Devon Football League was founded in 1920 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league originally had just four teams, but it has since grown to its current size of 10 teams. The league has been sponsored by Wbw Solicitors since 2018.
The league season runs from September to April. The top two teams in the league at the end of the season are promoted to the Devon Football League. The bottom two teams are relegated to the South Devon & East Cornwall Football League.
