Wasafa is an amateur football league in the United Arab Emirates. It was founded in 1974 and is currently composed of 14 teams. The league is divided into two divisions, the first division and the second division. The top two teams in the first division at the end of the season are promoted to the UAE Pro League, while the bottom two teams in the first division are relegated to the second division. The top two teams in the second division at the end of the season are promoted to the first division, while the bottom two teams in the second division are relegated to the third division.
Wasafa was founded in 1974 by a group of football enthusiasts in the UAE. The league was originally composed of only 6 teams, but it has since grown to its current size of 14 teams. Wasafa has produced some of the best football players in the UAE, including Omar Abdulrahman and Ali Mabkhout.
The rules and regulations of Wasafa are similar to those of other football leagues around the world. The games are played over 90 minutes, with two halves of 45 minutes each. There is a halftime break of 15 minutes. The game is played with a round ball and the objective is to score more goals than the opposing team.
