The Thames Valley Premier League is an adult football competition serving clubs around the wider Reading area. It began in 1989 as the Reading League, formed through the merger of the Reading & District League and the Reading Combination League, and adopted its current name for the 2014โ15 season.
The leagueโs published history describes its Premier Division as Step 7 of the National League System. Alongside that senior level, the competition has provided league football for first teams and reserve sides, with clubs from places including Reading, Maidenhead, Marlow, Newbury and surrounding communities appearing in its history.
The league has also operated a League Cup structure, and its published account links clubs in the competition with established local cup football. The precise league and cup line-up can change between seasons, so it is best checked through the live competition record.
