About Southern Counties East Football League
Senior football across Kent and the South East
The Southern Counties East Football League is a senior competition for clubs in Kent and the wider South East. Its official history traces the present league to 1966, when it began as the Kent Premier League. It was renamed the Kent Football League in 1968 and adopted its present name in 2013 to reflect a membership that extends beyond Kent.

The league should not be confused with the earlier Kent League, which ended in 1959. The SCEFL explains that there is no direct connection between that competition and the league formed in 1966.
League football and development
In 2016 the SCEFL merged with the Kent Invicta League, creating a two-division senior structure. Its official site also carries a Development League, providing a separate competition for development sides.
For clubs, players and supporters, the SCEFL site publishes league news, club information, cup coverage, safeguarding material and current competition updates. The league also keeps a roll of honour and historical material for visitors interested in its earlier names and winners.
