South Yorkshire Ability Counts League

The league is based in South Yorkshire and is affiliated through Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA. Its rules allow teams from neighbouring counties to take part, so the competition can include clubs from a wider regional area.

Formats and match days

The programme includes five-a-side and seven-a-side football. Adult five-a-side matches are held at Goals Sheffield, while adult seven-a-side football is played at Concord Sports Centre. Match days are normally on Sundays, across morning and afternoon sessions.

Junior and adult sections form part of the same league structure. Current competition includes a range of divisional sections, so players can take part at an appropriate level rather than being limited to one open division.

Taking part

Players, families, carers and clubs can use the league’s information to find out about local teams and current competition arrangements. The league also welcomes volunteers. FA Full-Time provides live fixtures, results and tables, while the league website carries information about its pan-disability programme.
