The Shapla League is an amateur football league in Bangladesh. It is named after the Shapla flower, which is the national flower of Bangladesh. The league was founded in 1972 and is currently the most popular amateur football league in the country.
The league is open to all teams in Bangladesh, regardless of their level of experience or skill. There are currently over 100 teams competing in the league. The season runs from November to March.
The top two teams at the end of the season are promoted to the Bangladesh Premier League, the top professional football league in Bangladesh.
