The Northern Counties East Football League is a semi-professional English football league. It has two divisions – Premier Division and Division One – which stand at the ninth and tenth levels of the football pyramid respectively.
The league was founded in 1982 and is based in the East Midlands of England. It currently has 44 teams, with 20 in the Premier Division and 24 in Division One.
The Northern Counties East Football League was founded in 1982 as a merger of the Yorkshire Football League and the Humberside League. The league initially had three divisions, but this was reduced to two in 1996.
