About North East Sunday League
North East Sunday League
The North East Sunday League is an amateur football league based in the North East of England. It was founded in 1923 and currently has over 200 clubs competing in 10 divisions.

The league is affiliated to the Northumberland Football Association and is eligible to enter County Sunday cup competitions.
Season structure
The league season runs from September to May. Each team plays each other team in their division once, home and away. The top two teams in each division are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the next lower division.
There is also a knockout cup competition, the North East Sunday League Cup, which is open to all teams in the league.
