The Nidderdale Friendly League is an amateur football league based in the Nidderdale area of North Yorkshire, England. It was founded in 1894 and currently has teams competing in age groups from Under-7s to Under-18s.
The Nidderdale Friendly League was founded in 1894 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The first season of the league saw six teams competing: Dacre Banks, Hampsthwaite, Birstwith, Glasshouses, Pateley Bridge and Ripley.
The league has grown steadily over the years and now has over 30 teams competing. The current champions are the Hampsthwaite & Birstwith Juniors Under-11s.
The Nidderdale Friendly League is divided into two divisions: the Premier Division and the Division One. The top four teams in the Premier Division at the end of the season qualify for the Nidderdale Cup.
The league also has a number of cup competitions, including the Nidderdale Friendly League Cup, the Nidderdale Junior Cup and the Nidderdale Challenge Cup.
