The Lichfield & District Recreational League (LDRL) is an amateur football league based in Lichfield, Staffordshire, England. It was founded in 1922 and currently has over 100 teams competing in divisions from Under-7s to Under-21s.
The LDRL was founded in 1922 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The first season consisted of just four teams, but the league has since grown to become one of the largest amateur football leagues in Staffordshire.
The LDRL has a long history of producing talented players. In recent years, several players who have played in the LDRL have gone on to play professional football, including Michael Owen, who played for the Lichfield City Juniors team before joining Liverpool.
