Youth football around Epsom and Ewell

The Epsom & Ewell Youth Football League is a Surrey County FA-sanctioned Saturday competition for grassroots clubs in and around Epsom and Ewell. Founded in 1972, it began as the Epsom & Ewell Parks Boy’s Football League; its present name was adopted in 1997–98 as mixed-gender football became part of the competition.

The league serves teams from under 7 through to under 18, with its membership area centred on Epsom. It is run as a not-for-profit organisation by volunteers and provides mini-soccer and competitive youth football in a safe, fair environment.

Formats and playing day

Matches are played on Saturdays. The league’s football develops through 3v3 at under 7, 5v5 at under 8 and under 9, 7v7 at under 10 and under 11, 9v9 at under 12 and under 13, then 11v11 from under 14 to under 18.

Its player-facing guidance places safeguarding, positive play and Respect at the centre of the league’s approach. Players can use its Players Wanted page to find participating clubs seeking players.
