Football for girls from Under-7 to Under-18

The league runs fixtures for girls’ teams from Under-8 through to Under-18. It also organises 3v3 festivals for Under-7 teams at a central venue during the season. The youngest group is deliberately non-results-based, reflecting the development focus at that age.

As players move through the age groups, the league offers the appropriate youth formats, from small-sided football into 11v11. The official age-group pages set out the current details; for example, Under-14 football is played 11v11. The league’s website also helps potential players locate a local member club.

Beyond the junior age groups

The BCGFL’s stated junior provision ends at Under-18. Its official information points to the Thames Valley Counties Women’s League as the next competition for ladies’ football, which is separate from BCGFL.
