The AFA season runs from August to May, with each team playing each other once in the league. The top two teams in the Premier Division are promoted to the West Region Amateur Football League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division 1. The top two teams in Division 1 are promoted to the Premier Division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division 2. The top two teams in Division 2 are promoted to Division 1, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division 3.
