About 1st Division
Read more →The 1st Division is the fourth tier of the Dutch football league system. It is a nationwide league, with 20 clubs competing each season. The top two teams are promoted to the Tweede Divisie, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Tweede Klasse.
The 1st Division was created in 2016, when the Topklasse was renamed to the Derde Divisie. The league is currently sponsored by the Rabobank.
The current season of the 1st Division started on August 20, 2023 and is scheduled to end on May 28, 2024. The current champions are VV Katwijk.
