About Thomas's Hotel FC Thomass Hotel FC

The club was formed in 1995/1996 and spent two years trying to get into a league,and played friendlies.Eventually gaining a place in the York Sunday Conference League,we won the League Cup at our first attempt and finished third in the league.Over the next few seasons,we appeared in 3 finals and finished runners up before gaining promotion to the York John Smiths Sunday Football League Division 6,one of the biggest and well respected leagues in the north.We gained promotion in to Div.5 in our first season there.We had 2 seasons in that division then had a nightmare term the following year which saw us relegated back to Div.6 after an abandoned match saw us deducted 3 points and heavily fined-those 3 points would have kept us up.Anyway we have bounced back and had a greats season this year and gained promotion to Div.4(Div.6 was scrapped).We are hoping that the coming season brings us more success.
