About S.F.N. FC

Who are SFN FC ?

Something From Nothing Football Club (SFN FC) was founded in 2019 by Chairman Nathan Atwell.

Together with the help of head coach, Mark Shopi, Nathan aims to transition SFN FC from a Sunday League Football team to a semi-professional club.

SFN is not your regular grassroots football club; here we evoke a real sense of family and community. Our ethos is based on hard work, teamwork, dedication, discipline and community engagement.

We believe in uniting people from all walks of life and together tackling issues that affect young adults such as peer pressure, gang influences, from diverse and socio-economic backgrounds, our team provides mentoring and coaching to young adults, not only on the pitch, but also in their lives. We encourage those young adults to see that there are other options available to them.  

The team participates in high impact training in the week to prepare for all matches, whether it is a friendly or a league match. On the pitch, we believe in playing beautiful football, bringing that feel of a premier league standard to a grassroots level.

We are a fully inclusive, ambitious team that welcomes you to join us on our journey to transition from a Sunday League Team to a Semi Professional club.

We are currently based in the Essex Sunday Football Combination League.
