About SANTLEY LIONS FC

<p>Santley Lions are a young side established in the summer of 2008 by a group of friends. Originally named Southside Lions they formed an immediate partnership with boyhood youth team Santley Utd becoming Santley Lions the mens team. The rest, as they say is history. Kofi Amaning Became the club Chairman & Michael Wright continued as manager. The partnership has grown & Lions enjoyed their first year in the LKB winning the Junior 1 title in impressive fashion. They followed that with with a good steady progression in the followning year reaching the inter cup final & finishing 3rd in a ultra competitive inter 1 division. The 2011 season was another successful one as Santley managed another title win clinching the Senior Premier Division, the top tier in the LKB. THis could have been a double winning year but for the team narrowly missing out on penalties in a hard fought Senior Cup final that could have gone either way. We are a friendly tight knit group & always welcome new players of all abilities and ages. Contact us if your interested in playing or coaching as we are currently expanding the team. </p>
