About Guiseley Red Lion FC

<p>Guiseley Red Lion FC was origionally formed as Yorkshire Rose FC in April 2009 when a few lads that used to play for Yeadon Town years ago and a few ex Rawdon players decided they wanted another stint in the Wharfedale Triangle League...</p> <p>We finished 2nd in the 2nd Division in 2010 behind Halfway House. We were knocked out of the league cup in the semis by Shipley Town and in the District cup in the Semis by Rawdon who also beat us in the Quarters of the PC Sports cup.</p> <p>Rawdon folded at the end of the 09-10 season and we have signed up a couple of the ex Rawdon lads ready for the 10-11 season.</p> <p>Red Lion stormed the 1st Divison in the 10-11 season winning the league by a distance and also reaching the league cup final being beaten narrowly by Yeadon Vets on penalties.</p> <p> </p>
