About Dengo United

<p>Dengo United are a Sunday League Football Club based in the Croxteth area of Liverpool.</p> <p>We were established in 1968 and have been a member of the Liverpool & District Sunday League for the duration.</p> <p>The team name existed as an inter-departmental team which played in the annual football competition in the now defunct Automatic Telephone and Electric Company. The name was created as an anagram of D for Drawing Office and ENG for ENGineering Office with United bringing the two together. </p> <p>The following is a resume of the clubs history: </p> <p>First participated in Division 6 of the Liverpool & District Sunday Football League in season 1968-69 taking over from a team called ATE Apprentices. At the time the L&DSFL comprised 11 divisions and a youth league.
