About Bishop Auckland Town

<p>Bishop Auckland Town is the official Development squad for Bishop Auckland FC, one of the most prestigious amature football clubs in the world. The step between junior football and the senior game within the Northern League is huge, with many promising individuals not being able to make the step as rapidly as needed. Many are therefore lost within the system. Bishop Auckland Town was created in 2012 with its aim to bridge this gap and develop each individual to their full potential in terms of ability and mentality. The players are all from the Bishop Auckland area.</p> <p>There is a heavy involvement with the first team squad in terms of training and opportunity, to give the maximal protected exposure to the first team game throughout each season. Over the coming years, it aims to develop a quality group of individuals to give them the most realistic chance of continuing their football within the game.</p>
