West Hallam Gel Solid Win

<p style="text-align: justify;">Saturday 12th October 2013<br />10.30<br /><br />Riverside Blue u10&nbsp; 1<br />West Hallam u10&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 6<br /><br />West Park Long Eaton<br /><br />On a windy and cold morning these two in form promotion chasers met.<br /><br />1st Half<br /><br />Riverside were to start brightly with some good quick passing,however West Hallam got into <br />the game very soon after and with only 5 minutes gone Ellis White picked up the ball after <br />a misplaced pass and before the riverside goalkeeper had chance to set himself and the <br />defence had chance to react he hit a 1st time shot from just inside the oppositions half<br />which sailed into the top corner giving the keeper no chance a great goal 1-0.Then only a couple<br />of minutes after the kickoff Canvern who was superb thoughout for West Hallam played a great ball to Millen who scored<br />yet another trademark screamer with a fantastic shot which found the top corner after <br />looping over the keeper.West Hallam then began playing some amazing free flowing passing<br />football and showed some superb teamwork and fought for every ball.Riverside then had a <br />rare bit of posession and forced Adam to make a couple of really good saves.But West Hallam<br />held firm and began to press in order to get a 3rd but the whistle blew for the end of the<br />1st half.<br />2-0 West Hallam.<br /><br />2nd Half<br /><br />As the whistle went for the second half Riverside looked like they were up for getting back<br />into the game and had a bit of posession but West Hallam looked organised and Canvern was <br />running the show in the midfield for West Hallam and after a long shot by the ever strong and<br />steady figure of Dan Eardley which bounced over the keeper Ellis finished<br />with a lovely cushioned header 3-0.West Hallam were rampant and after more superb passing<br />play Aaron had a powerful shot which was to be saved well by the riverside goalkeeper <br />Ellis was on hand to tap for his in the rebound for his hatrick 4-0.After a great run forward beating<br />2 players left back Archie was to be brought down and Canvern was to go close with the<br />resulting freekick.West hallam continued to dominate in every area<br />after some more good build up Canvern got his reward for all his craft and graft with a <br />smartly took first time effort 5-0.As the game drew to a close Riverside won a freekick on<br />the edge of the box which was hammered home and left the ever impressive Adam with no chance.<br />But just before the final whistle Riley was rewarded for his constant hard work with a good<br />shot which out foxxed the keeper and ended up in the top corner a great strike.<br />The scoring finished there with the scores at 6-1 which was no more than West Hallam deserved<br />with a great time effort by all and some brilliant football.<br /><br /><br />Well done to all the boys,and to Jay and the coaches for there ability to get this <br />level of performance from the whole team.
