Home league match

Tiki Taka Dortmund welcomed Bolton Lads & Girls Club Eagles to St James's High School on the 29th November 2025 for a league fixture, kicking off at 10:30am. The 70-minute contest, overseen by referee Mason, saw Dortmund emerge victorious with a 2-1 scoreline in an intense 11-a-side encounter.

Tiki Taka Dortmund lined up in a classic 4-3-3 formation, deploying Kamsy Anajemba in goal. The defensive line featured Brajan Staszkowicz at right back, Archie Hunt and Lawrence Nwakamma as central defenders, and Nikita Velicka on the left. In midfield, Mustafa occupied the right midfield role, Zac Leach held the central midfield position, and Zac Humphries-Deveney operated on the left. The attacking trio consisted of Sonic Leung on the right wing, Favour Ajumobi as the central striker, and Yasin Mohammed on the left wing. The substitutes available were Andrew-Franz Nkemka, Finley Barlow, Kon Aney, and Oscar Manders.

From the outset, Dortmund’s defensive solidity was evident. Archie Hunt made a crucial block in the 5th minute to deny a BLGC Eagles chance, setting the tone early. Shortly after, goalkeeper Kamsy was alert, making a key intervention in the 7th minute. Lawrence Nwakamma followed suit with an important interception in the 9th minute, preventing another Eagles opportunity.

Kamsy’s distribution was a highlight today, with a long pass in the 11th minute creating a chance that led to an attempt from Favour, which was saved by the Eagles keeper. However, Dortmund’s persistence paid off immediately as Yasin Mohammed delivered a precise through ball, putting Favour through to score with his right foot in the 12th minute, giving the hosts an early lead.

The attacking momentum continued as Zac Humphries-Deveney provided a through pass in the 15th minute, setting up Sonic Leung for a shot that was again saved by the opposition goalkeeper. Defensive resilience remained key for Dortmund, with Archie Hunt blocking another chance in the 18th minute and Zac Leach making a vital block a minute later.

A flurry of substitutions began at the 20-minute mark, with Andrew-Franz Nkemka replacing Favour and Finley Barlow coming on for Yasin. Shortly after, Kon Aney and Oscar Manders entered the fray, replacing Archie and Nikita respectively, signalling tactical adjustments from Dortmund.

Kamsy’s goalkeeping prowess was on full display with a full stretch save at 29 minutes and a confident catch at 33 minutes, keeping Dortmund’s lead intact. The half time whistle blew in the 35th minute with Dortmund lucky to be holding a slender 1-0 lead.

The second half saw a few changes as Favour Nikita, Yasin, and Archie returned to the pitch, replacing Zac, Leach, Sonic and Brajan respectively. Kamsy continued his fine form with another full stretch save in the 41st minute.

Dortmund doubled their lead early in the second half when Kamsy launched a long pass to substitute Andrew, who finished expertly inside the box with his right foot in the 47th minute. Andrew nearly added a second shortly after, but his effort was saved in the 49th minute.

Further substitutions in the 50th minute saw Leach, Zac, Brajan and Sonic reintroduced, replacing Mustafa, Finley, Kon and Favour respectively, as Dortmund sought to maintain control.

Defensively, Oscar made a crucial tackle in the 55th minute, and Kamsy caught a dangerous ball in the 57th minutes as BLGC Eagles continued to press for a goal. Lawrence's defensive contributions continued with a vital tackle in the 61st minute.

Bolton Eagles finally pulled one back in the 64th minute with a close range finish, injecting tension into the final stages.

Late substitution's from Dortmund in the 66th minute seen Favour and Mustafa come on to replace Andrew and Nikita.

Attempts from Zac Humphries-Deveney and Yasin Mohammed in the 67th... 6..7..?? and 68th minutes were thwarted by the opposition goalkeeper. As Bolton Eagles push forward for an equaliser with a wave of late corners, Lawrence and Leach made important clearances and headers respectively to deny them a chance.

As the game went into added time, Yasin Mohammed made a late clearance from a Bolton Eagles corner, helping to preserve Dortmund’s lead until the final whistle.

Although this wasn't the best performance from TT Dortmund, they dug in as a team and took their chances to get the win.

Lawrence Nwakamma and Kamsy Anajemba were standout performers today, combining defensive solidity and goalkeeping excellence to secure the three points for Tiki Taka Dortmund in a hard-fought encounter.
