Home league match

On 22 November 2025, Tattenhoe Greens U13s welcomed Tingewick FC U13 to Tattenhoe Sports Pavilion for a league home match kicking off at 11:15am. The Greens produced a commanding performance to secure a comprehensive 6-0 victory in this 11-a-side encounter lasting 70 minutes plus injury time, under the watchful eye of referee Muduia Muchando.

Tattenhoe Greens lined up in a 3-2-3-2 formation, a setup designed to provide defensive solidity with three defenders and two central midfielders, while maintaining attacking fluidity through three attacking midfielders and two forwards. Ayden G took his place in goal, protected by a back three consisting of Ade A at right defender, Josh S centrally, and Jayden T on the left. The midfield pivot featured Rishi S and Raaes R in central midfield roles, tasked with both breaking up opposition play and linking defence to attack. Ahead of them, the attacking midfield trio comprised Moustafa A on the right, Cullen M centrally, and Jai S on the left, expected to create chances and support the front two forwards, Edy MG on the right and Ossama A on the left. Logan B was named among the substitutes.

The match began with Tattenhoe Greens asserting early dominance, controlling possession and pressing high. A tactical substitution came early in the 18th minute when Logan B replaced Moustafa A, signalling a shift in approach to maintain intensity and creativity on the right flank.

Throughout the first half, Tattenhoe Greens’ attacking midfielders and forwards combined well, carving out numerous opportunities. The defence remained resolute, comfortably handling any threats posed by Tingewick FC. The half concluded at 35 minutes with the Greens firmly in control and well on course for a sizeable win.

In the second half, Tattenhoe Greens continued to press their advantage, their attacking players linking up with precision and pace. Edy MG, operating as the right forward, was particularly influential, demonstrating sharp movement and clinical finishing that ultimately earned him the player of the match accolade. The Greens’ two central midfielders, Rishi S and Raaes R, provided the engine room, recycling possession and breaking up play effectively to deny Tingewick FC any foothold in the game.

Defensively, Ade A, Josh S, and Jayden T maintained a disciplined line, thwarting any attempts by Tingewick’s forwards to penetrate. Ayden G in goal remained largely untroubled but was alert and commanding when called upon.

Tattenhoe Greens’ attacking midfielders Cullen M and Jai S also contributed significantly, linking play and supplying the forwards with quality service. Ossama A on the left forward position complemented Edy MG’s efforts, combining pace and skill to stretch the opposition defence.

By the final whistle, Tattenhoe Greens had secured a resounding 6-0 victory, a testament to their tactical organisation, attacking prowess, and defensive solidity. The team’s performance at Tattenhoe Sports Pavilion will surely boost their confidence as the league campaign progresses.
