<p>Burntwood the League Leaders visited Streetly Community Centre to play Starlands in a re-arranged match.

<p>Starlands were unluncky not to score in the opening minutes with Tia bearing down on goal only to have her shot saved twice by the lively Burntwood keeper.

<p>With Starlands failing to take advantage , Burntwoods class ultimately told - with the Burntwood striker running through the middle to score.

<p>Burntwood were 5-0 up at the break and Starlands heads looked to be dropping.

<p>Matters made worse by the freezing rain and blustery wind.

<p>Holly was too cold and had to come off - which meant Anna stepping up.

<p>Surprisingly with our midfield lynch pin between the nets we actually held Burntwood to only 1` goal in the second half.

<p>Anna would say that was down to her expert goalkeeping rather than our rejuvenated outfield display.

<p>Whatever it was - the girls did themselves proud and the match finished 6-1.

<p>Starlands goal coming from Georgia - who apparently always scores against them??!??

<p>Shame about the result but - encouragement that we can give better teams a game IF we give 100% effort.
