North Wilts Cup Semi Final

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">Finally, after over two months, football finally returns, and a North Wilts Cup quarter final at that, and to spice it up even more it&rsquo;s against Liden, who beat Purton last year in the semi final, after a penalty shoot out.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">With only 11 players available, Jake and Dan both cup tied, and Andrew serving the first of his 2 match suspension, it was going to be a tough match, but after 5mins Matty Grabe rounded the Liden goalie to put Purton 1 up.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">Liden appeared to be winning all the 50 balls, however, Purton were starting to turn up the heat.&nbsp; James Denton came close with a header after 7mins, Matt turns a defender and goalie saves. James Winfield hits the crossbar from a header, Toby puts the ball in the back of the net, for it only to be disallowed as offside.&nbsp; Finally, Ryan plays Toby through, and puts the ball in the net, &nbsp;legally this time,2-0 (11mins).

<p>Liden go on the attack and James W clears off the line, another shot on goal and Tom pulls off a great save. Goalmouth scramble, but Tom pulls off, not one, but 3 saves.

<p>Purton go on the counter, Ryan shoots from the edge of the box, Goal 3-0, (26mins), sort of effort he&nbsp;practices all the time at training.

<p>Louie makes it 4-0 after a good run and shoots pass the Liden goalkeeper. (28 mins)

<p>Another great passing move but Toby misses from outside of the box.

<p>Liden go on the attack, shot on goal. 4-1 (37mins).

<p>Surely last year&rsquo;s match wasn&rsquo;t going to repeat itself, but Matt makes it 5-1 just before half time.

<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">Second half, Liden get a free kick, but another great save from Tom. Fraser is man marking Liden&rsquo;s main goal threat, and plays him out of the game.

<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">After&nbsp;the first half 6 goal fest, the second half came nowhere in comparison, with no further goals scored. However Purton&nbsp;have now put&nbsp;away last year&rsquo;s ghost and it's&nbsp;full steam into semi final.
