Phantoms gave a terrific performance for 60 minutes before losing a little focus towards the end.

Before kickoff the boys looked nervous, perhaps put off by the fact that the oppo had a few very tall players, but also aware of the quality they possess. Harry stepped in for injured Joab and played really well at fullback.

Farnham played some really nice football, switching play, but Phantoms had really good defensive shape today. Farnham had two excellent wide players, but boys tactics were spot on to force them inside. Farnham eventually scored, a clever pass and run beyond the defence. Phantoms boys were very smart and possessed a threat to press and counter. One of those moves, gaining possessing in midfield, ball out to James Richardson who crossed unselfishly for a tap in by a well positioned Jack. Great response as score was 1-1 half time.

Second half Farnham were getting rattled on the sideline, not sure they were expecting this. Ben and James were disciplined and physical in defence alongside a calm Owen who got the short straw against their best player. Max came off injured just after half time. Eventually the pressure from Farnham told as a couple of failed clearances from the team led to a well taken goal after a cross from the side. Phantoms had chances to equalise. James scaring the life out of them with his speed and combining well with Jack. Farnham while good in possession looked vulnerable in defence. Two soft goals were scored by oppo in the last 10 mins.
