Mile Oak Through To The 2nd Round Of The Cup!

Mile Oak have qualified for the 2nd round of the cup with a 6-3 win away to Lindfield Panthers.

Mile Oak got off to the best possible start with a good bit of link up play between Chaz and Tyler M and Tyler M getting his 1st of the season. He soon repaid the favour with a Through ball and Chaz taking it around the keeper to net his 3 goal in 2 games.

Mile Oak seemed to be cruising but feel lost focus for 2 minutes which allowed Lindfield to get back in to the game with 2 goals in as many minutes.

It didn't take long for Mile Oak to regain the lead with Finley breaking down the left, laying off to Chaz who yet again found Tyler M who beat 2 plays and slotting home to get his 2nd of the game.

Mile Oak seemed to have settled back into until a lack of concentration saw Dougie come to claim a long ball and dropped it for it to fall to a Lindfield player who made it 3 - 3 at half time.

After 6 goals in the 1st half, everyone was looking forward to the 2nd half bit seemed to disappoint as it finished 3 - 3 and went to extra time.

5 minutes into extra time a Mile Oak win a corner which sees Drew with a wonderful delivery which finds Elliott with a cracking header into the top corner.

With only the 2nd half of extra time to play Mile Oak didn't hold back with Elliott getting his 2nd of the game and Finley getting his 1st of the season which sees it finish 6 - 3 to the Oak.

Mile Oak will meet Eastbourne Borough or Hangleton Rangers in the next round of the cup.
