Mile Oak took on Lindfield Panthers away in their final game of their pre season, Lindfield have dropped down a league for the upcoming season and they also host Mile Oak in 2 weeks for the start of the cup campaign.
It was Mile Oak who got off to the better start which has been an issue recently but today was different, On 10 minutes Elliott was just to much for the defence of Lindfield and won a free kick on the edge of the box, He stepped up himself and slotted in the corner to give Mile Oak the lead.
With Mile Oak dominating the game Lindfield had very little chances but managed to equalise with a fluke cross from the right which looped over Charlie's head. It didn't take long for Mile Oak to regain the lead with some good pressure down the left from Harley to win the ball and deliver a wonderful cross for Charlie Stirling to slot him.
With a few changes from Mile Oak it didn't stop them to carry on dominating play and with a long ball by Wilbur it falls to Elliott who turns the defence inside out and finish from just inside the box.
10 minutes to go and yet again Elliott is too much for the Lindfield defence as tries to take them on again and wins a penalty, he gets up grabs the ball and slots it bottom right to clinch his hattrick which earns him that Man Of The Match award.
A superb end to pre season which should get them ready for their 1st league game of the season this Sunday away to a Montpelier side who have dropped down 2 leagues.
