<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">Dendy's cup game which had been lost to the weather for a month was played on the 3G pitch at Holmes Chapel leasure centre.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">Dendy had welcome back faces of Scott T and Danny V in the starting 11 and return from injury Adam to put out a strong starting 11.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">First half was pretty even with some fine defending from Dendy and at half time is was even at 0-0.

<p>

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">Second half the fitness of Blackburn starting to take effect as they had more time to pass the ball. A ball which could have been over the line was cleared by Dendy. I was linesman and i wasn't 100 percent sure it was all over or not. So it seems was the ref who waved away the angry Blackburn players.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">The pressure at last paid dividends for Blackburn as strength of numbers gave an unmarked player the chance to score inside the box with a nice shot in the last ten minutes.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">It was looking like a 1-0 scoreline when Dendy's Danny V was clipped in the box to win a pen. To be honest Dan said he played for it. For me it was a needless pen to concede in the last minutes of the game. The defender should have just let the ball run out.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">The pen was nicely put away by Ian and it was 1-1 and extra time.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">Extra time was just too much for Dendy as injury and lack of subs to change the game paid as Blackburn scored twice to win 3-1.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">The better team won over the game. Some good defending marshalled well by man of the match Curbo kept the lively Blackburn side down for much of the game.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">Lack of depth, fitness, and players not turning up was sad.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">But Dendy gave them a game.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">Blackburn on the whole were a good bunch of lads.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">Stand in manager Bails did a grand job with the choices he had.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">I didn't try it myself but i was told the Curry Bails made was very nice and went down well with home and away teams. Thanks for your hard work Bails.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">So 2015 ends with a defeat. Worries about fitness and who will turn up remain. The players who did seemed to enjoy being there and thats what matters.
