MAIDONIANS ROCKING IN LEYTON

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; mso-pagination: widow-orphan lines-together;">While Maiden were rocking in Rio, Maidonians were rocking in Leyton with an emphatic victory over Brittania. We started off playing a good passing game but were unable to find the breakthrough we deserved. It finally came in the 32nd minute after some neat football on the edge of their box. The ball was passed to Oddsy who looked up to find Teddy unmarked inside Brittania&rsquo;s penalty area. &nbsp;The ex- England international rifled the ball into the bottom left hand corner of the net.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; mso-pagination: widow-orphan lines-together;">We didn&rsquo;t have to wait long for the second when in the 41st minute Jason B. found Belly with a through ball and he cooley slotted it into the corner, 2-0.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; mso-pagination: widow-orphan lines-together;">We went straight onto the attack in the second half and scored our third in the 52nd minute when Teddy netted his second after a pass from Jason B., 3-0. Five minutes later and it was 4-0, Jason Beackon scoring from an assist by Belly.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; mso-pagination: widow-orphan lines-together;">We carried on throwing players forward and were rewarded with our 5th goal in the 62nd minute when Danny Weaver scored after being put through by Oddsy.&nbsp; &ldquo;That&rsquo;s a fiver you owe me&rdquo; shouted Danny to the ashen faced Manno, 5-0.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; mso-pagination: widow-orphan lines-together;">We didn&rsquo;t have long to wait for the next goal, Danny putting&nbsp; Jason B. through in the 69th minute &nbsp;and after keeping his balance from two heavy tackles he placed it in the corner of the net, 6-0.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; mso-pagination: widow-orphan lines-together;">Our final goal came 1 minute later when Jason B. picked Oddsy out with a pass just inside the area. The player manager turned inside 2 defenders performed a twist and two pirouettes looking like Bambi on ice. Just when it looked like he&rsquo;d lost the ball he managed to get his big toe to it and slowly poke it over the line, 7-0.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; mso-pagination: widow-orphan lines-together;">In the 81st minute Brittania were awarded a free kick 20 yards out after their no. 5 suddenly sprouted wings and threw himself on the floor via Manno&rsquo;s shin. The free kick was hit over the wall and brilliantly put over the bar by Vinnie. The following corner was swung in from the right and just flew over a ruck of players and amazingly direct into the net, 7-1. That was it, the referee blew the whistle and we bagged another 3 points.
