Back in cup action after our good win in the league last week, and this time we entertained DIV 5 Slough Eagles FC.

In truth this was never a contest, and the scoreline should have read more goals for us but as it proves so often when you play teams a couple of divisions below you, you tend to play within yourself a bit.

The away team came into the game with no league wins to their name and rock bottom of div 5, we however, were on our best run of the season.

The different level in class showed immediately, when we scored the quickest goal of the season.

Only 30 seconds on the clock, when the ball was swung to the back post where KENNY EATON finished well for 1-0.

Captain JAMES MURDOCH soon put us 2-0 with a good run and finish.

KENNY EATON scored his second to put us 3-0 up. A superb run and a fantastic powerful finish into the bottom corner.

Then it was the turn of our in-form forward STEVEN EATON to score from the penalty spot to make it 4-0.

Sadly we then stopped playing our game and took the opposition to lightly, and in return they scored with about 5 mnts to play until halftime.

Halftime Score 4-1.

The message for the second half was to treat this as a cup final and to show respect to the opposition.

Shortly after the break STEVEN EATON made it 5-1 with his second of the match.

STEVEN EATON scored again to make it 6-1.

Then STEVEN EATON scored his 4th of the match with a good finish to make it 7-1.

By this stage the opposition couldn’t wait for the final whistle to come. It was the most one sided match I have been involved in for a very long time.

ALAN BURTON ran through and finished well to make the score 8-1.

After squandering many chances, MATTHEW HILLIER finally took one of his chances to make the score 9-1. An off day for the speedy winger who normally finishes well.

The final goal came from the MAN OF THE MATCH, KENNY EATON rounded off a superb display to score his 3rd and our 10th to make the score 10-1.

Credit to the opposition who did show belief and carried on trying to play till the end. But this was a superb day for us, no injuries, plenty of goals and we are into the next round of the cup.

Our attentions now turn to a huge game in the league when we welcome 3rd placed JOHN 86 FC to Desborough Park this weekend. A crucial game for both teams and hopefully we can come out on top.
