MATCH SUMMARY : Wollaston Free Athletic (19 October 2013)

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><br /> This win put us in the last sixteen for the very first time. Our performance with players missing was first class.<br /> On a pitch not good for passing we started very well, and created good chances straight away .Dean Millward who was injured linked up very well with Dean Richardson who was also injured, and they caused problems. <br /> On the odd occasion when Wollaston did attack our defence were on top, again Reece Underhill was injured also, these lads played for the cause and every player gave 100%. On 12 mins a great little through ball from Dean let in Knile who cut in from the left of the penalty area and curled it beyond the keeper. It was a great moment for Knile and gave us the base to create more chances. We were creating good chances now with Steve Kite running the midfield, with Camo holding snuffed out the Wollaston threat. Wolleston did have chances and Ollie had another fine display in goal, he is becoming a very consistent goalkeeper.<br /> On 25 mins a back pass from Wollaston was closed down and their keeper only found Dean Millward, who calmly put the ball over the keeper.<br /> Other chances followed for both teams every time Wollaston attacked they came up against Knile and Scott who snuffed out any threat. Half time 2-0.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">&nbsp;<br /> We knew Wollaston would come out strong second half and they were playing some good stuff. When camo robbed the ball on their half he was in the area and had a tackle from behind, not only was a penalty claim but the last man also went unpunished. That would have sealed the game but as always it spurred on Wollaston and a hopeful ball into our penalty area was brought down by Knile on his chest was judged to be a penalty. They scored from it and made the last 15 mins a battle. Chances fell to both teams but at the final whistle the lads &nbsp;were exhausted. Some on the ground could not get up.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><br /> A fantastic result today lads, Dean Millward, Dean Richardson, Reece Underhill, were not match fit, Steve Gosling and Blane, &nbsp;the new lad still not match fit did a great job &nbsp;To the other 6 lads a great job, every one did a shift today, and worked for each other &nbsp;with a never say die attitude.&nbsp; It was great to see,

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><br /> That is what i have been waiting with the attitude that you are never beat until the final whistle goes.&nbsp; If we can continue in that spirit we can go far. Well done lads very proud of you all.

Awesome mate.<br /> Next week away to Charlemont a tough game. If we believe in ourselves we can get a positive result. <br /> Lads hope you are looking at verses this week.&nbsp; Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8-9. &nbsp;It&rsquo;s all about God&rsquo;s grace.
